ACHIEVEMENTS – ESSENCE THEATRE PRODUCTIONS -

2024 – Co-recipient with Berne-lee Edwards (nmp.org.au) for Malcolm Robertson Foundation grant to write The Yellow Line

2022 – Jack and Millie selected for VCE Drama Playlist.

2022 – Alaine Beek received 2022 Joanne Ryan’s Lalor International Women’s Day Award (Arts Category) in ‘recognition of her longstanding contribution and commitment to the arts in our local community’.

2020 – A Good Coffee written and directed by Alaine Beek, won Best Script and People’s Choice Best Production. Arkfest 2020

2017 – The Scrunch Test written by Alaine Beek, won the People’s Choice Award for Best Written Script, and People’s Choice for Best Performed Play at the 2017 National One Act Playwright Competition,

2015 – Point of No Return selected for publishing on australianplays.org.

2014 Point of No Return written and directed by Alaine Beek won Judge’s Choice for Best Written Play, People’s Choice for Best Written Play and People’s Choice for Best Performed Play, at the National One Act Playwright Competition.

2014 - 2 Gold, 4 finalists (including Best Production Drama) and one special adjudicator’s award for ‘Masterful Set Changes’ at the Victoria Drama League Awards for ‘The Lion in Winter’ directed by Alaine Beek.
